Using Miller’s Waterjet may be advantageous for your production needs if you work with thin gauge sheet metal (mild steel, stainless, aluminum, copper, etc.). Pictured below is a small component part with a tolerance in the +/-0.010” range. The ability to stack materials while cutting with a waterjet, allows for consistent cut quality and increased throughput speed. This obviously saves time and money. If the batch runs are short on quantity (1,000 units or less) this option is less expensive than laser and much less than custom tooling to punch. If you have something that lends itself to this type of manufacturing, give Miller Mechanical an opportunity to save you time and money.
