Pictured below is Jim. He and Tom have been working on a shell patch plate for a steaming vessel that will be installed by our field crew in a paper mill in LA. The shell patch plate is formed from SA264 hot bond clad plate. The patch plate includes 12 new Duplex 2205 bottom steam nozzles and a carbon steel header that supplies steam through the nozzles. This patch plate assembly is a ASME Code part and will be installed into an existing pressure vessel during an upcoming shutdown. The configuration of these nozzles along the bottom of the vessel provide for more thorough distribution of steam for preheating of the wood chips.
