When traditional machining and time do not mix, Miller’s Flow Waterjet is the perfect solution. Shown below is a rather complex reinforcement pad. Traditional machining and/or hand fabrication would have made it impossible for our fabrication shop to reach the dead-line for shipping on this item. The complicated (and traditionally time-consuming) portion of this part is the 45 degree hole through the center. This hole is clearance for a 2″ pipe, so the opening is rather small. The fact remains: this part was cut, in its entirety, as shown, faster than it could be set-up in a traditional machining center.
