Most of the manufacturing world is familiar with waterjets cutting steel, aluminum, and other varieties of metal materials. Waterjets can cut so much more than metals, and more accurately than traditional methods.
A regional stone shop needed some help to create 8 very accurate arc segments from some very thick Bluestone. Shown in the images below are 6” thick bluestone being shaped with the Waterjet. For what the client needed, we surpassed the accuracy required and completed the pieces days faster than traditional methods for working the stone. This ultimately saved our client money and allowed them to meet their deadline with room to spare. Using Miller Mechanical for this portion of the project allowed their skilled stoneworkers to work on other projects in their busy shop during the same time period.
