The following are pictures of a Cold Blow Cooler (a type of heat exchanger only in reverse) that has been in the works at Miller for the last month. This piece of equipment is an ASME code vessel and has been fabricated by some of our top welders. It has a carbon steel shell, with 304L stainless steel top and bottom channels. The baffle plates have been cut here at Miller via our waterjet. It is currently being readied for Hydro test after which the carbon steel will be painted, the vessel Q.C.’d and eventually be sent to a pulp and paper facility in Louisiana where our field crew will be involved in the installation.
